The upcoming Ashes series forms a crucial part of the 2023-2025 ICC World Test Championship. England has been entrusted with the responsibility of hosting this bilateral Ashes series, commencing on June 16, 2023. The first Test match between England and Australia is scheduled to kick off at 11:00 a.m. local time at Edgbaston.

The Ashes 2023 series will consist of five captivating Test matches, staged by England during the months of June and July. The series will conclude on July 27 in London, marking the last match of the highly anticipated England vs. Australia Test Series, 2023 bilateral series.

This Ashes series holds a special distinction for England, as it breaks a 139-year tradition of featuring an August match. Ashes Series 2023- Broadcasting rights in India

The game will be broadcast live on Sony Sports Ten 1, Sony Sports Ten 1 HD, and SonyLIV. With a 19 membership, FanCode will also live stream the England vs. Ireland Test. Meanwhile, Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Cricket will broadcast the game live in the United Kingdom.

Ashes 2023- Squads For First Two Ashes Tests

The England Men’s selection panel has named a squad for the first two Ashes Tests.

It will be interesting to see if England will play Stuart Broad, who picked up a 5-wicket haul in the first innings of the Lord’s Test against Ireland, and James Anderson together for the first Test as workload management for the two senior pacers has been a priority.

  • Jack leach has been ruled out for Ashes 2023 due to lower back stress fracture. Moeen Ali replaced Leach in the squad.

Australia has also announced a 17-man squad for the World Test Championship Final and the first two Ashes series matches, with Pat Cummins as captain and Steve Smith as vice-captain.
